Payment Policy
This page uses decision branches for payment. Start with the method you intend to use, then follow the path for authorization, security, decline handling, or refunds that matches your situation.
Accepted payment methods at checkout
If you are ready to pay, then choose an accepted method at checkout. Midwinter Green accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. When a card is used, then the network handles the transaction through the processor described below.
When you prefer PayPal, then authorization happens on the PayPal site and returns to checkout with a result. When you prefer a card, then the hosted payment field collects the details. Cash on delivery, bank transfer, cheque, and cryptocurrency are not supported.
If your preferred payment method is not listed, then contact support@abrahamsite.shop before ordering rather than attempting a payment that cannot complete. When an order is placed with a supported method, then the confirmation page becomes the record of the amount submitted.
When a payment method appears in an advertisement or message but not at checkout, then treat the checkout list as the only accepted source. If another party offers to collect payment on our behalf, then verify the request with support@abrahamsite.shop before sending money.
Card networks, PayPal and processing
When a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card is entered, then Stripe receives the card data directly. When PayPal is chosen, then you approve the payment on PayPal and we receive only the result needed to match the transaction to the order.
If your bank applies 3-D Secure, then an extra verification screen may appear before the payment is approved. If the verification is abandoned, then the order remains unpaid and no dispatch is arranged.
When a saved card is offered by a browser or password manager, then that storage belongs to your device rather than our site. When you return for a later order, then no card number or PayPal password is available from us because neither is retained.
Authorisation and the pending hold
If a payment is authorized when the order is placed, then the bank may show a pending amount immediately. When that entry is a hold rather than a completed charge, then it can reduce the available balance until the bank releases it.
When the order is accepted, then the charge proceeds for the amount confirmed at checkout. When an order is cancelled before capture, then the authorization is released and no merchandise charge remains.
If the amount shown by the bank differs from the order confirmation, then check whether tax, a foreign transaction fee, or a pending duplicate authorization explains it. If the difference remains unexplained, then send the order number to support@abrahamsite.shop before opening a dispute so the transaction can be checked.
Payment security, Stripe and PCI rules
When payment security is assessed, then the important fact is that card details are entered on Stripe's hosted page. Stripe is certified to PCI-DSS Level 1, and the full card number does not reach our servers or logs.
If someone asks for a card number by email, then treat the request as fraudulent. If a message claims to be from Midwinter Green and requests a password, security code, or payment outside checkout, then report it to support@abrahamsite.shop without replying to the sender.
When staff need order information, then access is limited to the people handling payment checks, packing, and support. When access is no longer required, then the account is removed rather than shared with another employee.
If a payment page shows a different address or certificate warning, then stop before entering details and report the page to support@abrahamsite.shop. When the warning is caused by your connection, then reconnect through a trusted network before trying again.
Declined or failed payments
If a payment is declined, then no completed charge is created. When the decline comes from an expired card, a limit, a billing mismatch, or a bank security rule, then retry with corrected details or choose PayPal if that method is available.
When a failed attempt leaves a pending authorization, then the bank usually releases it within a few working days. When you retry immediately, then use a different payment method or confirm that the first hold has cleared to avoid two pending entries.
If repeated attempts fail on the same order, then stop retrying and contact support@abrahamsite.shop with the order reference. If the bank advises that the charge is valid but the checkout still rejects it, then include that message so the processor reference can be checked.
Refunds to the original payment method
When a refund is approved, then it is sent within seven calendar days to the original payment method. If a card was used, then the credit returns to that card. If PayPal was used, then the refund returns to the same PayPal account.
When the bank needs additional time to post the credit, then that delay occurs after our refund has been released. When a card has closed since the purchase, then contact support@abrahamsite.shop after the bank confirms the closure so a trace can be started.
If an order was paid with more than one method, then the refund follows the same split unless a written agreement says otherwise. If the original method cannot receive funds, then we explain the available route instead of sending cash or a bank transfer.
Payment questions and what to include
If you have a payment question, then send the order number, payment date, amount, and the last four digits of the card to support@abrahamsite.shop. When the question concerns PayPal, then include the transaction identifier shown in the PayPal record.
When a charge is unfamiliar, then contact your bank and us at the same time. If a dispute has already been opened, then provide the case reference so both reviews rely on the same facts rather than reaching different conclusions.
If a reply is needed quickly, then write a clear subject line such as payment question and include the order reference. When several questions relate to one order, then one email with numbered points is easier to answer accurately.
When a reply asks for information, then send only the items requested and avoid attaching a full card number. If you are unsure whether a request is genuine, then verify it through the contact address on this page.
